That sucks man- Sounds like a dumbass looking to get over on someone. I hope you proof bears your case out and your buyer ends up paying even more to make this all god away.

He obviously didn't understand what he bought...or bought it with the intention of making a big deal out of it...and either way...plus your as is clause...It's his own damn fault.

    GOOD LUCK WITH COURT!!

Why is a court even wasting tax payers money by hearing this case?

I think you will be okay as long as you didn't have any problems with it and didn't disclose it. If he found any evidence that you had trouble with it and just wanted to get rid of it then he might actually have a small case. Hopefully you didn't bad mouth the truck on any forums or local shops before you sold it that he could have found about.

Yeah, whats wrong with a Tundra? I have one. It's like a taco with a V8.

It is going before a magistrate first. If he warrants it as legitimate, then it will go to "real" court. It is kinda like a weeding out process.

Fred, whose is his lawyer? I bet it is Lingle.

The guy has no case. Period. The he bought the car with no guarantees or warranties documented or even implied. What happens to the car after you sell it is not your responsiblity. They will throw this out so fast.

as long as it says "as is" on the bill of sale that he signed, you have nothing to worry about.

i wouldn't be surprised if the judge ordered him to pay court costs before he let him walk.

I have been sued and it is no fun. Even when you know you are right, it justs bothers you until it is over. It sounds like you have nothing to worry about. Just be sure to take your proof with you. Just saying "He said this..." and "He said that..." is meaningless in court. More than likely he will say he never said it. Hard evidence rules. Take your receipt that shows "As Is", along with any other proof of abuse that you have. He will be toast. Good luck!
