    Good morning all,

I have a 2017 TRD Off-Road and I absolutely love her. It is Metallic Blue, newly outfitted with a MBRP Dual Exhaust with the Heritage Toyota Grill. I am looking to continue with mods and truly make her my own.

A little bit about me, I am a medically retired Vehicle Technician from the Canadian Armed Forces. I suffered permanent spinal damage during a training accident and couldn't continue with the soldier part of my job. I am currently going back to school to become an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer specializing in helicopters. I love to take my truck off roading and pushing it to the limits. She is rode hard but never put away wet. Anyway, just a little bit about me and my truck, I look forward to learning more and chatting with you guys!

    Have a wicked day.

    Welcome!

I dont yet have my own Tacoma, but my initial plan for modifications were going to be:
    -Tint
    -Shell
    -Dashcam (w/GPS tracking app)
    -Viper Alarm
    -Subaru Tweeters
-Firestone Riderite Air Spring Helpers (probably before the shell)

A lot of enthusiasts on here rightly want to get to upgrading suspension, tires and armor, but I cant see spending that kind of money without making sure my truck is secure.

That being said, I live in Arizona and work as a contractor so my needs are different.

    See you around the forums.

I am currently looking at the lift, once I've got the lift figured out, it will be rims and tires.

Well, not to preach my methodology more but my plan is to keep the lift at 2" to avoid new Upper Control Arms and a Diff drop kit.

I also calculated that an Scs F5 wheel (or FN Five Star, both 16") combined with a C Load LT tire (265/75) is roughly the same weight as the stock set up (on an SR at least, havent checked the OR's weight).

But I'm planning on getting the 2.7 I4 so I have to worry about things like that since heavy E tires will seriously hinder performance to a greater degree than the V6.

Just figured I'd offer that though, in case you wanna hold onto what fuel economy you have if that's something you think about. I also hear a lot of complaints about E Load tire ride.

I guess I should ask: What do you use your truck for and plan on using it for?
