Getting What you want

Hello Tacoma Owners,

Brand new to the forums (obviously) and I'm trying to join the ranks of being an actual owner of this vehicle called a Tacoma! Seriously though, I'm finding great difficulties getting the truck I want from the regional pool of dealers up here in the Pacific NW. My dealership has been at it for a few weeks now and nothing...actually amazing. Of course they're trying to up-sell and down-sell me on my options and I' m holding firm on model and price. So obviously, it must be my fault, right?

I'm trying to get a Pyrite Mica or Barcelona Red 2014 DCLB TRD Sport w/ Nav and tow package. Apparently, Toyota doesn't make these anymore, or at least deliver them to the PNW! Not true of course, but that's what I'm starting to think. I'm patient, or I would have already ended up with a Gray or White one, which are apparently a dime-a-dozen.

Am I alone in this search or is it just the way it is with getting a Tacoma...ie take what you can find?

Hang in there and find an aggressive dealer that is willing to get you what you want. And welcome to TW.

 

Thanks Chris...I'll continue to stay patient. My dealer is working pretty hard right now.

 

Finally...got what I wanted after a few months wait! Guess the lucky charms was getting on this forum and starting to bitch about it...

That would just be extra sad not to be able to get the Tacoma you want living in Tacoma, wouldn't make sense at all. Glad you scored, welcome aboard.........

No it's not a RV____; it's my Glasair III. RVs are an all metal kit airplane you rivet together...Glasairs are all composite. Not that you can tell from that crappy little picture!
