Getting wiring through rubber grommet on the firewall?

    I dont think the 2016 SR5 has that grommet.

    I'm not 100% positive you have it. I know it is on some models that have the brake booster. I learned about it from an installation video. It is just easier to see and get to on my OR since there is no booster. Here is the video.

    I can confirm that the 2016 SR5 has the small grommet , but it's almost impossible to access. The only access point through the firewall on the driver side is through the main wiring harness rubber "thingy". I just pulled the edge of the rubber over enough to feed my wire through. I will most likely cut a small slit in the edge to clean it up later.

    Don’t cut any holes. Feed through the same hole that the hood latch goes through. I used a little bit of water on the wire and it slid right through.

    I had looked into doing that but my wires seemed too large and I didn't want to force it.

    I just did this also. I ran the fish tape (or wire hanger) from the inside and pulled the three wires with terminals (for a switch) taped to the fisher, ONE AT A TIME. I could not get all three of them together. It's tight for sure.
