GFC V2 Thread

Finally got to pick up my new GFC V2! Drove through a gnarly snow storm to get it, but worth every mile of the drive. Looking froward to building out the bed

 

Nice! Cant wait to get mine. Im getting black panels and orange fabric too. I am going to get the tent side doors, but no windows on the cap part

 

Looks good! We're going to order one, but we don't want to take delivery until spring of 2022, so going to wait a bit before we place our deposit.

 

Nice I love the improvements they did to the V2 I would love to order one when the bank account allows lol

Love it! Takes pretty much a year to be completed and if you want it delivered its about 8 additional weeks and 1k extra just as a heads up!

We'll drive out and get it. We'd buy one now, but the Mrs just started a new job, so she doesnt have much vacation this year.

 

Well that's one way to get away from the rust issues, going all aluminum.

 

I'm unfamiliar with these. Is this just about being able to stand up in the back of the truck or can a deck be installed in the tent section to sleep on?

 

V2 is really what I was hoping for with v1. Glad to see the changes they’ve made and it seems any of the things I didn’t like about v1 have been addressed.

Just an update:

After driving camper back home from Montana and then taking it on one road trip there are already a few issues. I have reached out GFC but they haven't answered me yet. Several of their "quick release fasteners" have either popped out, come loose or just spin in place.... and the main section of the space frame was rattling loose. Not sure what their quality control is, but its not good. Pretty ridiculous for something that costs that much money and is brand new

That sucks.... I wonder if this is because they didn't spend as much time perfecting the V2 as they did the V1?

Guess v2 isn’t off to a great start..

 

Following - I am going to pick up mine in July and am disappointed to hear of some of these issues they are having.
