    I appreciate it Sandz.

I’m know I’m in the minority but I don’t mind driving, even in traffic. I actually worked in Huntington Beach for a long time and sometimes I’d be driving for 2.5 hours to get home after work.

@GHOST SHIP Saw this little number on the marketplace a bit ago, and I just got myself a Diamondback SE for a 5’ bed on a 3rd Gen.

Was wondering what you’d charge to fabricate the bare parts. I have a shipping account to do 3rd party billing, so wouldn’t need to hassle over that if you’d be willing.B30AC4D3-3A60-4386-A46A-293810389DC2.jpgC9AA5229-A499-4298-9B7B-BD128DA98DC3.jpg

Hey there. Thanks for reaching out. I’ve actually had a few requests lately to build another one of these so I figure I’ll address it here rather than go through individual PMs.
I built that as a one-off for @YSL. He brought his truck to me for multiple test fits before I could finalize the geometry of the pivot. While not exactly difficult now that I’ve figured it out, the problem is that I’d need to take measurements from a diamond back cover to replicate it. I don’t have a diamond back and I don’t know anyone with one. So until someone locally can come by for me to take measurements, it’s more work than I’d care to take on at the moment.

While I appreciate the appreciation, I’ll have to respectfully decline for now.

 I understand. If anything changes, put me on the Preorder List.
    :spending:

I swear, one of these days I need to just move out to California for a year, at least to meet the community out there. We got a nice group of Tacos out here, but all the really cool stuff seems to be in the West with y’all out there.

Definitely a lot of talent out here. I’ve had the privilege of meeting a lot of the local fabricators and being able to call them friends and reach out if I’m stuck on a project or idea.

People gonna ask: “why not just weld another tab on the bumper?”
I have a few sets of SSC2s on my truck as well and noticed that they have a vent on the underside of the housing. The way the hybrid bumpers are structured, you weld the tab on the upper tube, meaning you’d have to invert the light and hang it upside down, which would leave the breather vent facing up. I called Diode Dynamics tech support and they said the vent should be facing down to mitigate water entering the housing and shortening the life of the light (not to mention void their warranty). That little Z bracket was the cleanest way I found to keep the lights level and upright.

Got a tire gate made by @GHOST SHIP and this thing is quality work! Had to trim a bit of the camper shell trim and it took a little work to get everything squared up and snug but this thing fits like a glove. Beyond happy with this and highly recommend Sergio to anybody looking for a local fab guy.

I mean, technically we’re in the same state.

    :notsure:

Haha. I appreciate the support man. The tire carrier looks real good on there with the shell! Thanks for posting pics!
