Finally had time to put my rock lights on.

 

Got home from work and there was a package waiting for me!

 

Short trip to the mountains this past weekend,

 

i see the trucks coming along. looking good!
i built a set of sliders and am wondering how you bolted them on. troo the side of the frame or bottom and side?

 

Wow those came out awesome! Ya I bolted to the side of the frame and the bottom.

 

Finally had time to install the new coilovers!! Rides so much better!




Going to order a shackle flip this week and hopefully picking up some chevy springs to make a custom pack.

Just ordered a ubolt flip and bump stops now just gotta source some donor leaf springs.

Awe man, sorry!! Your camera was to complicated to use after a night of heavy drinking!

 

It's all good. I could have explained how to use it a little bit better. Next year I will be back and with a much more capable set up. I will get you to redeem yourself regardless of how much Johnny walker and whatever tequila you were serving up is involved the night before.

 

Had time to get some work done on the truck. If anyone was at Moab this year they'll remember my squeaky leaf springs. Well they stayed squeaky despite powerwashing several times. The ride sucked anyways with the Deaver AAL so before shelling out cash on a new leaf pack I decided to swap in a few chevy leaves.

What I started with:
All Pro U bolt flip
Energy Bump stops
New Center pins

and
93' Chevy 4x4 leaf pack


after 5 hours had the chevy leafs cut, bumps drilled and everything bolted together.

Bump slightly contacting right before the springs start negative arch. I might need to adjust these a tiny bit hopefully I can keep the tires from chewing up my fenders any further.




On this pic the shocks are at their limits, definitely more flex available.




While I was at it I also adjusted the drivers CO to match the passenger.

The ride is just amazing!! Even my wife was in shock at how great it rode. Took her down some washboards and the deference is shocking. The rear is no longer fighting the front end, no more hard bucking!

The rear was lifted about 1" higher than the AAL, I really like the stance.
Before specs w/ deaver AAL:
Pack height 1 7/8"
Uptravel ride height to bump contact 5 1/2"

After w/chevy leaves:
Pack height 2 1/4" + 1/2" top plate
Uptravel ride height/top plate to bump contact 5 1/4"

Thought I'd share this pic, shock mount grabbed this rock. As the rock flipped over it put the tire in the air.

 

Should have thrown it in the bed that is easier than a hi-lift!
