in light of this happening, this trip is now closed.

This is short notice for such a trip but the good news is that it is all loose in the plan.

Throwing it out there right now to see who is interested in a exploratory trip to seek out new routes and campsites. The areas or interest for this trip will either be north of Wanapeiti Lake and west of Temagamy, or north of the Soo west to the Montreal river (I have a route already mapped to get to the head of the river. The routes will be stock capable but should be prepared for some challenging sections. Skid plates would be recommended.

We are bound to run across washouts (stock departure scrapage) and the odd rocky passes that would make hauling a camper difficult. With the exploratory nature turn around may be frequent. This is unless you are willing to send it with the trailer 4wd-247 style.

Doooo it! With your lift, the "skids recommend" is less critical.

Option C could also be up towards Chapleau and try and find some of the ghost towns heading back down south west.

On my To Do List is run from Capreol area to Shinning Tree and eventually Timmins. In your area A. There is a great route up and back that uses very little of Portalance Rd which everyone seems to use. I've done it multiple times on a dirt bike but think it would be doable in a truck. Even stock with a bit of work. I'm not sure if I could make it for early Sept but will definitely be following.

That sounds like a killer route and a good incentive to make this trip area 1. Are you able to pm the route? Stock with a bit of work is what I'm aiming for with this trip.

With the specific routes or scouted locations I will figure out a way to share with participants in a more organized way (shared Gaia or Google doc) as we get closer.
