I recently installed a Gibson Cat back on my 2017 TRD sport 4x4 short bed.
Super easy install, 2 bolts and no cutting with this kit. It is made for the short bed. Took me under 30 min to install.
So far love it no drone, no rice, low beefy sound when the gas is hit. No issues/ rubbing with the spare stock tire.

Had a Gibson on my 2002 taco and it sounded great, drove nice. Happy with it. No real performance or fuel economy gain.

On my 2017 TRD OR I had a 3” MBRP that sounded awesome (even better with the OVTune catless dump tubes), but droned like a bitch and robbed the lower RPM band of power. Got rid of it after two years and went back to stock for about 6 months.
Just installed the 2.5” Gibson (618814) side swept stainless exhaust yesterday.
The perfect sound, very minimal highway drone, easy install.
No real mpg gain but most definitely a little more pep in the lower RPM band.

If you’re looking for no drone exhaust with good sound and aren’t a TRD purist, the Gibson is the exhaust for you.

Payed $385 all day. Beats the $650 TRD price tag for more or less identical performance and sound.

I just installed my stainless Gibson cat back exhaust today and I’m very happy with the results. It’s fairly quiet as in I barely notice it unless I get on it, like on an entrance ramp to the interstate. I paired it with a cheap (on eBay) K&N intake tube that goes from your throttle body to your stock air box. I think they compliment each other. No noticeable drone on the highway, held a conversation with a mumbling 10 year old in the back seat most of the way.

Think its similar to stock loudness, or is it louder?

Trd exhaust with black tip in canada is 1400$... haha!

I got the borla for $790 shipped, which is a steal over here. Very happy with it, no drone and seems like mpgs are a bit better. I love how it gurgles when you let off the throttle pedal.

But this gibson sounds very nice for sure.

Was thinking of replacing the muffler only on the truck I just bought with a Gibson part #
    462-BM0110
. It has the Flowmaster split dual exit system. It is a little too buzzsaw-ish.
