Hey everyone! I am joining this forum because I have searched high and low to find the perfect gift for my husband.

He owned a 2002 Toyota Tacoma PreRunner (TRD 4x4, White, extended cab), it was the second car he had every purchased, his pride and joy. Literally, this truck was his baby, the love of his life. I called this his bachelor truck. Sadly, he was in an accident last month and the truck was totaled.

We "replaced" it with a 2015 Tacoma, naturally, and an double cab so he can tote our toddler around comfortably.

Anyhow- I am looking to give him the "blueprint" of his model to frame or some sort of replica to have as a memento. Please help me!

@aloerell1 are you talking about for the watercolor? Or just blueprints?

    Workin' on it....
If he has a favorite picture of his truck you could do a metallic print (picture printed on aluminum) or have a photo edited with Fractalius and printed for a more surreal image

    Sort of like:

If you have a photo of his truck, that would be cool since it's a little more personal instead of stock blue prints. But that's just my opinion

I like the idea of taking a picture of his exact truck and sending it to the member that could do a watercolor of it.

    Hi there,
I'm sorry to hear about your husbands truck. I fully understand his attachment as many of us in the forum do as well.
I saw my name come up in a tag, so I just wanted to pop in to say hello. If you have any questions about the truck portrait process or if you would like to run another idea by me that your thinking about please let me know if I can be of any help. I've been playing around with some new ideas and doing drawings in pen & ink on wood lately too just in case that sounds interesting. In either case I would work from a photo of his truck so it would be customized to his truck's model year, colors, and any after market upgrades he may have put on it could be added in as well.
What ever direction you decide to go, I'm sure he'll be thrilled that that you've been putting a lot of thought into giving something for him to remember it by.
    Best of luck

I had a Scout years ago that I sold and wanted have something to remember it by, so I bought a magazine ad from the year it was made on ebay. It was pretty cheap and a unique way to have something specific to the model.
