Hey @taco2476gf, reach out to me directly for some fog lights. I would love to help you out with an order for him for Christmas.

Yes, that is correct. You don't need a wired connection to the head unit. I have one, it works fairly well. Purchased it from Target. Sometimes it disconnects I think because of radio interference, but it can be very convenient to just hop in the truck with your phone in your pocket and go.

So I also use the Qi charging pad to charge the phone, and with the phone's wireless connection to the dongle, I find it consumes a lot of the battery when I'm using Google Maps or streaming music (which is why you'd want to be using AA anyway), and there is a net drain, not great on long trips.

I'm thinking I may re-locate the dongle in the glove box and use the place freed up on the switch panel for a square switch (I think 22mmx22mm) which I think will fit in that USB slot.

Power tailgate lock and front header rail are easy no brainers with quick install. if he doesn’t already have a bed mat, those 3 are OEM parts which most people love.

Total Tails are a fan favorite as well as the blackout kits, easy ways to dechrome and personalize.

I dig my puddle pods but install is more involved.

A Pioneer 6600 is by far my most used “mod” but way beyond your budget.

Skim build threads for more ideas, no lack of content in here.
