    There's an old adage I have always lived by when it comes to women. It goes something like this:

    If you love something set it free.

    If it comes back it was always yours.

    If it doesn't, it never was.

    And maybe she doesn't see all the good things in the relationship that you do. If so, that's a problem on a couple of different levels.

    Let her decide. Being needy does not attract women. Not long term, anyway. And her perception of you is her reality.

    I don't agree with any of this.

    Why should you give up on your dream and the perfect woman because a bunch of people on the InterWebz told you too?!? Life is short, and if you love someone with all your heart, and her kids, then why shouldn't YOU be happy? Don't be a conformist wuss by doing what every other guy (with a pair of nuts) would do.

    The others are right in that you need to man up -- but man up in the way that you are going to make her yours. Get off your ass, stop moping, buy her a ton of flowers, toys for the kids, take her out for a nice dinner/picnic, shower her with affection and let her know that she is the one for you!

    Then, 10 years from now, when you're living in Hell, taking care of her teenage brat kids that don't respect you because "you're not my real dad," while she's out putting on the pounds and getting plowed by other dudes, you can sit back with a smile on your face and know that you made it happen for yourself!

    Get out there and be somebody!
