Im short, so even getting into a stock height TRD Pro is a minor annoyance and its starting to wear my seat where I have to "slide" in and out. I need some step bars or sliders but im SO picky.

99% of the Step bars I see are hideous and hang too far too low kiling my breakover angle (I especially hate the stock predators for this reason). I dislike the N-fab loop styles also as the main bar has a big gap between itself and the cab and looks cheap. But then, Some steps are on the opposite side of the spectrum and aren't low enough to be useful. I really miss my old dimple plated sliders from RCI, I just don't want to fork the extra cash for another set just to use as step bars, my budget is around $400 and I don't want to have a long lead time.

I run a vinyl business and whoever gives me some SOLID advise on some sliders the fit my budget, OR some proper step bars will get some free custom decals!!

***If your recommendation is something that would go well with some Rockstar wheels and a spacer lift, please don't grace me with your time**

Sliders are intended to not be low off the frame.. because they're sliders, not steps.

Steps are intended to be low off the frame so you can step on them.. this killing breakover angle.

This whole thread is destined for failure because they're basically mutually exclusive ideas.

A slider with a 0 degree angle is a great choice. Fits tight, but still enough for a step. Not sure what youre trying to say, but maybe your comment was destined for failure.

I actually don't hate those. Look almost like a 0 degree slider. nigh and tight up there but after some googling the look like a pretty decent step. did you purchase them separately? I wonder if I can find a used set. hmmm

They remind me exactly of the steps that came on the husbands raptor. we loved those

That was the goal with the new product, since so many people ask for something that's a middle ground between a step and a slider. A fairly basic slider built flat (that can still take some light punishment) meets a lot of peoples needs.

You could go with a set of AMP power steps, but you're well over budget if you do

$400 is pretty low. Unless your getting some cheap Chinese crap that won’t last. Assuming that little girl is your daughter in the pic, it’s just not you these boards are going to help out. I know you just dropped a bunch of money on a new truck, but it seems like this is more of a need vs a want for you. Spend a little more and get something that gotta hold up and last, and not look like grabbed some old parts from the junk yard and tossed them on to make something work.

If you're worried about breakover angle and really wheel it, then sliders would definitely be the way to go over running boards/nerf bars.

I think I paid $600 for Demello "medium duty" sliders including weld-on installation 10 years ago, so I'd be suspicious of any set from any manufacturer that would come in under $400 today and not have some lead time associated.

Neoprene seat covers would be a lot tougher and save the rubbing on the factory seats, and would be well within that budget/timeframe. They won't make getting in any easier, though.

You're 100% correct. Those would honestly be my best choice. I would absolutely love them if they were in budget. But this momma has other toys she wants too. bahaha

Ive got deep pockets, but short arms.

Buy once cry once eh, better off just getting sliders instead of spending 500-600 on steps and busting them on the trails.

Not especially worried about the seat, but it is a concern. The biggest is just ease of entry..

Totally agrees on sliders being the best route, but I realistically only take this truck to stretch its legs on occasion. its hard for me to justify some sliders unless I can get a cheap set
