    I run boots on with no problems observed. Have 70,000 on this set. I too run a lot of open dirt and gravel and would have some concern for pitting. Not a lot of moisture or rust concerns for me, but I think if they are a concern the suggestion to vent the boot is a good one. They still look and feel good, but I anticipate new shocks at 100,000.
