I'd like to change my transfer case with Amsoil and it differs in products between a GL-4 and a GL-5 transfer case. Both of these are listed for my truck. 1998 3.4L 4X4

How do I now which kind of transfer case I have?

    Here's what it states:
    Transfer Case,......GL-5
SEVERE GEAR 75W-90 Synthetic EP Lubricant (SVGQT)
75W-90 Synthetic Long Life Gear Lube (FGRQT)
SEVERE GEAR 75W-110 Synthetic EP Lubricant (SVTQT)
    Transfer Case,......GL-4
Synthetic Manual Transmission and Transaxle Gear Lube (75W-90) API GL-4 (MTGQT)

    Thanks for the help!

I use amsoil in my truck n I would go with sever gear 75-90, if you do frequent 4x4 or long life if you do it less. Thats my .02's.
