    Decided to change out the spark plugs today on my 13Taco, 95,000 miles. Boy am I glad I did. To me its looks bad. Based on how it looks of the ones I took out in the pictures, anyone agree? Or I could have waited?

    They definitely look larger than .040 gap
    The “look” looks good for the mileage.
    It’s the gap/wear in this case.

    I got it from my brother with 85,000, drive it from Delaware to update NY in December 2022.
    I didn't get a chance till today at 95K-ish.
    I didn't think it would be this bad, but yeah, next change will be at 125K

    Wow I'm glad I read this post. I've got 65k miles on my plugs and I noticed at the last fill-up that the MPG seems to be slipping. I guess that will be my next project

    Wow. I’ve been thinking about replacing my plugs for a while. 54k miles on the original factory plugs and she’s still running fine. Sounds like I have another 40k miles before I really need to change them. :D

    I thought it wasnt too bad, 1-10-difficulty was about a 5. Got new ones from toyota dealer for $2.76/piece.

    It's crazy that they mix 3 Densos and 3 NGKs, that's why I like to do the maintenance myself.
    My brother must have had a shop or a dealer do it and they know he's not going to check,
    so they're just gonna say it is done and charge an arm and a leg for it.
    It's sad that you can't trust a business to do what they're paid to do,
    or the mechanic on the job was a lazy bastard, either way it's done.

    And if I should need to take it somewhere,
    I'll be watching like a hawk and checking everything before I leave. That's just me.

    I'm pretty sure that's because spec from the factory is 3 Denso and 3 NGK,

    which is why OP's truck, with the original plugs pulled out according to the post
    are 3 Denso and 3 NGK

    which either way is probably not going to matter; it's not a high-performance Ferrari extracting high power from every component, expecting every single part to be a certain way

    those are likely the correct part numbers.
    I have worked at shops and dealers. I don't see why anyone would do such a thing.
    Either parts gives me the parts according to the catalog and I put them in,
    or I order the parts through a distributor and put them in

    a shop is going to want to put the correct parts, to prevent a comeback
    they are still going to mark up the price and make money off you, regardless
