hey all, new here. Traded in my 2011 off road beast of a titan (aka paladin), got me one of these 2020 Tacoma TRD Off Roads dark grey metallic. Kept my 98 cherojeep for now. Yep, less than 2000 miles, owned for less than a month and some reckless shooters at the WMA put two bullets in my truck, signs posted no target shooting and no centerfire rifles. i was just there to fish...lol.... Luckily the Game Warden also heard their 40-60 rounds and caught them reloading mags, confiscated their guns (.223 AR, G-19 and S&W) and charged them appropriately w/ reckless endangerment and destruction of property as well as two other minor WMA violations. one round went in the 3rd break light, dimpled off the roof, ricocheted through the headliner and lodged in the graphic display unit on the dash....pulled out the .223 round with some fishing pliers. second round struck between the passenger mirror and glass, busted up the molding and ricocheted off somewhere, not found. Luckily the GW heard the illegal shooting and knew i was parked (legally) on the other side of the pond.....the two fools didn't even look to clear their back range (a parking area visually obstructed by weeds). i have a coilover and AAL lift in a box, 17" TRD wheels and 275/70R17s in standby once its fixed (was going to be my weekend project). I'm in VA and will be on the look out for Taco get togethers.....i'll upload a pic or two if i can figure it out....lol .... Gooder day all!

Yeah, i've been debating on a name for the truck...i think i have some possibilities now....trigger, target, 223, bullet, bullet sponge....etc.

    People are so stupid:facepalm:
These guys should have their gun rights taken from them for a long period of time. If not forever. Luckily you weren’t sitting in your truck at the time and things didn’t turn out worse. I grew up shooting and have seen some stupid shit in my days. This is the irresponsibility that gets the responsible owners rights taken away and makes all gun owners look bad
    :frusty:
    sorry bout your new truck:(

Yeah, i must admit i felt a bit naked without my firearm (but probably better i didn't have it). That was the happiest i've ever been to see a game warden, i'll tell ya that! Good chance the class 1 misdemeanor charges will bump up to felony charges...those radio graphic display systems are >$4500 new OEM from toyota distro. not sure they will but if they do, the felony charges should keep them from having a legally owned firearm for a good while.

So much for the saying "shot at and missed, shit at and hit". Glad you weren't in it, people like that are the ones who ruin it for the rest of us. .

Once everything gets sorted out, i'll post an update on things. I'm wondering how much it depreciated given the gunshot wounds that need fixin'....how much it costs to repair....if justice will truly be served appropriately.
I think i'm going to like this place. Thanks for the support!
