    04 Tacoma D-Cab Prerunner V6
Hi everyone! Been lurking here recently but decided to officially join in.

I have a 2004 Toyota Tacoma Prerunner V6 Double-Cab in Radiant Red. She just turned 90k miles yesterday and still running great. I've had my truck since 2006...bought it used. Just recently I decided that I want to do some upgrades/mods and this forum has been helpful on getting all the right info I need to get this started. Just wish I'd started earlier and had the money to get this going but will need to take it one step at a time. In the past two weeks I replaced spark plugs and cables, adjusted e-brake, and changed the oil and oil filter. I also did a seafoam treatment about 200 miles before the oil change.

My next upgrade is to get an Air Filter with a deck plate installed. Sounds like AFE is the way to go. After that probably get a performance muffler with a tip (still deciding what muffler). My engine light came on a few weeks ago calling out the A/F Sensor (bank 1, sensor 1) so need to get that replace (can't believe its $150 for that part). By the way, I got my DTC code using those bluetooth wireless OBD-II adapter and linked it up with my Android phone using the Torque App. Its a neafty tool if you haven't check it out. Anyhow, after getting the above items upgraded and replaced I want to get a 2.5" to 3" lift but first I need to replace all the belts, and water pump. I have a buddy of mine here at work fabricating the crank pulley holder tool for me using the dimensions provided in this site. I told myself if I get that done that I would reward myself with a lift kit or else that's around $1000 for someone else to do the job for me, which is way too much money and I know I can do the job myself.

Well I hope I can start contributing to this great site as it has helped me a bunch. Tacoma is a great vehicle and I am hoping to keep my vehicle for a long time..maybe one time if its still running to pass it down to my children. Thanks again and looking forward to meeting some Tacoma enthusiasts!
