What is up my fellow Taco members?

I have done some browsing through some of the threads and I have to tell you that I am liking what I see. You all have some killer Tacos.

I bought my '08 last August, and although I think the truck is great, I was honestly a bit skeptical about it. The year prior I had to get rid of my "full size" '05 Ram. I bought it pretty much pre-modded, and did some minor mods myself. I was part of the Hemi Truck Club, which had forums almost exactly like this one. I used them to plan some pretty extensive mods, but never got the chance. Almost as soon as I purchased it I had to sell it due to family circumstances. It killed me inside, and I never thought I would be able to find another truck like that... I didn't want to.

Later down the road looking for a new vehicle, I found myself drawn to the new Tacos. Up until recently I did not think I would ever own a truck like my ram, but after stumbling upon to this site, my thoughts have changed. I have a lot of you to thank for that. Just reading through some of the threads, it sounds like a lot of you are some really cool, easy going, creative, and intelligent people. You have assisted in getting me motivated to start a new project, and that project is... for the lack of better terms... "pimping my ride!"

I am currently deployed in Iraq right now, but when I return I have plans to start modifying my Taco. Just to brag a little... I am reenlisting here on the 7th, and the Air Force is giving me $81,000 to stick around for another 5 years. Since I am reenlisting while deployed in Iraq I get all that tax free, and half of it up front ($40,000). So as you can see, I will have a few pennies to play with upon my return home. That said, I know there is a lot I can do with that kind of money, but I am curious to hear about what all of you would do with that kind of play.

Here is an idea of what I have planned so far:
Complete Audio Setup, 3-6" Suspension Lift, Wheels & Tires, Intake and Exhaust, Grill, Floor Liners, and Interior LED Lighting, plus much, much more!

I would greatly appreciate your inputs for ideas. I will also be in every so often to ask for wisdom, and share my inputs as well. If it takes me a while to reply, please bare with me for my internet access over here is not so reliable.

Well, I look forward to chatting with you all! I'll catch ya on the flip side!

    V/r

    Taco Brethren:

You all sure know how to make a guy feel welcome. I sure appreciate the kindness! Like I said, I look forward to sharing my Taco journey with all of you!

Oh and bcgredneck3006, I know what you mean in regards to the wallets. When I stumbled upon this great site I was simply planning on installing some audio items. After reading through many of the threads, I have much bigger plans. Don't worry though, I won't hold that against anyone... trust me!

Sorry to throw out terms like that and confuse some of you. That was not my intention.

The term JTAC (Joint Terminal Attack Controller), has been around for several years now. Before JTACs, we were called ETACs (Enlisted Tactical Air Controller).

Without going into too much detail... the term TACP (Tactical Air Control PARTY) is used to described the members in our career field as a whole. There are 2 main types of TACP members. The ROMAD and the JTAC. The JTAC is the more seasoned, highly trained, and educated member who directs close air support. The ROMAD is the mentee to the JTAC. He spends his days training to ultimately become a JTAC. Together the two make up a "TACP!"

Anyways, that was my best shot at trying to make things a little more clear concerning the terminology I utilized. I am sure that many of you will be more confused than you were before... hell even when I read it, I don't know what I was trying to say.

Again thanks for all the warm welcomes, you all are great!
