When I first got my '21 Sport, I didn't like the hood scoop, thinking it would cut down on visibility. But it's been growing on me. You learn to compensate while driving.

Glare has not been a problem. Maybe the color of the truck has something to do with this.

Glare from the hood? I always wear good quality polarized sunglasses so have never noticed this.

I'm 5'11" and never had a glare or visibility issue :notsure:.

That matte colored wrap looks like a decent solution or make some bucks on a hood swap.

I don't know who's truck this is, but I should thank them. I found that picture on this site at one point, took it to a wrap shop, and told them "Do this to my truck hood" :D

You did get inside the vehicle and look out the window before buying, right?

I'm really not trying to be negative. I just don't understand the issue I guess.

This would really solve the issue. And you could net $500-$600.

Mods? We don't need no stinking mods.
First time I walked onto a Toyota lot to look at Tacomas back in Feb., I asked the salesman what the difference was between a Sport and an Off Road.

After a moment of careful consideration and reflection he said: "Basically a fake hood scoop and a really annoying glare." :p

I know the differences now. But looking back, that was pretty funny.

I've owned two different colors of sport and never noticed the hood glare. I just did mine to look cool.

Got a 2017 SR5 with the flat hood and get glare off the hood from the sun and other cars headlights. Doing the matte wrap as well. If I could adjust my damn seat up or down maybe it wouldn't be as big of an issue. Still can't believe on a 2017 truck the seat adjustments are worse than any other car I bought or owned in the prior 25 years......

edit - I have SSM so it's going to be more prone to glare than other colors.

Now that's funny. Well thank you sir, it was the best looking hood scoop/wrap combo I had seen.

I have a MGM Sport, never really had a glare problem that people talk about. I’d think any hood in the right conditions would cause a glare.

Well I went from a flat hood to a scoop, and I can tell you the glare is much worse with the scoop. Depends on the angle of the sun, but you usually get sparkles on the edge of the scoop. Just enough to be annoying, but you get used to it.
