This. They should be able too tell what's going on and give you an idea of how to handle it.

Just because it's not dark doesn't mean there there isn't a window film (or "tint") applied to it. I had a "clear" window tint applied to my windshield. It looks clear but it's made from a ceramic material that blocks UV and helps keep the cab cooler and the dash protected from damage.

I find it hard to believe that it's not some kind of tint or film. If all of those various soaps, cleaners and degreasers didn't work then it's gotta be a film and if not that then I guess some kind of defect in the glass itself (which I've surely never seen before).

What that. Is it a film sticker or manufacture emblem.( FYI almost all manufacturers info is etched to the glass) F232AE9D-D034-4644-BDBF-613D7115020B.jpg

Is it just that one window? Also as mentioned before you confirmed there’s not a piece of clear film on the inside of the window? If not, I’ve never see a piece or glass do that ans I’ve been working on cars a very long time. I’m intrigued by this dilemma.

Looks like abrasion to the window glass surface to me. It sometimes happens when dirt gets into the stationary "wiper" at the top of the door. It can also happen when that part gets worn out and metal rubs directly on the glass. If it is abrasion, it needs to be polished out - which is not easy on glass - but can be done. And that really depends on how deep the scratches are. Can you feel anything with your fingernail?

When I sit inside the cab there is nothing over the window. It’s on both sides though

I second this theory. It looks like a spot on my sliding glass door where I assume the last owner's cat sat and scratched it to get let in/out.

We had a very similar looking issue on the passenger window on an F-550 Salt Truck I used to drive. The glass was sliding up and down against a piece of bare metal for several years and that was the result. In fact our scratches were so deep that we had to replace the window and the part that was scratching against it.

    I have two thoughts.

If it is some type of uv film, the last owner probably used a cheap glass cleaner with ammonia in it. Ammonia damages the film and can cause discoloration or turn it purple.

My second thought is what I'm going through. The rubber window moulding weatherstrips are bad. Mine are so bad that they leave a similar pattern to yours. You will be amazed how gunky and sludgy those things can get on the inside. Run a wet paper towel between the seal and window and see what you come up with. Might need new ones

Just my two cents. I could be wrong lol but best of luck :D
