glassworks fenders help

The only reason I mention their shop is because its a car port with corrugated metal chained to the sides at the end of a dirt road. Plus the glass I picked up there was really thin and didn't fit well at all. It's a real shame you had a bad experience Tim made my glass and shipped it to me in less than a week.

 

Ya it does suck. It's weird. I either hear people get their stuff in a week or never. Guess I'm one of the unlucky never folks.

 

I got the flares yesterday and got them on last night. I did enough to get them on there - they still need a couple mount holes drilled and some minor adjusting.

I was happy with how they line up with the ARB (when looking from the front) and with 35's the tires are not tucked in. I still need to trim about 1-2" more off the sides of my ARB to follow the new fender line - but this will be easy.

Overall I am happy with them. The passenger fit very well and was able to utilize all the factory mounts. The drive wasn't as good - only in that the two mounts under the fender (closest to the door) didnt quite make it. Not a huge issue as I feel with the other mounts, its plenty sturdy.

Not having other fenders to compare it to - I would say they are about what I expected. Its fiberglass and I think with some further tweaking they will fit nice.

Ill post some pics of the "rough" mount for now and then later once I have it all dialed in and ready for paint.

 

What is the name of the other vendor that you got glass from? Pm me if you dont want it out in the open!

 

Has anyone ever delt with Roadrunner Fiberglass here in San diego, Ca.

There main shop is in Tijuana right by Fiberwerx main shop. I was only wondering cause there glass is very reasonably priced and i can pick it up locally!

 

Can you check em out for me? I'm really interested in the tundra conversion for my yota pick up

No it is trailer - they confirmed it for me. Glassworks doesnt make this size nor could they fullfill the orders like I tried to for 9 months.

Thanks! Still need to tweak a bit and trim the ARB - I am just glad to have fenders back on that work with the 35's

It was quick and dirty fitting - 30 min a fender.

they are very sturdy - not sure how to capture the thickness though

What are you doing for your intake?

 

I will prob pull it back into the engine bay for now or see if I can protect the intake area. Its definitely fully exposed at this point with the under-fender lining out.

 

I got the fenders fitted how I want them and trimmed the ARB back another 4" to match the line of the fender.

I had already cut about 2" off my ARB to match the stock fenders without the flare. Then I cut about 4" more to match the glass.
