Ok, all funny comments aside, Glassworks IS a scam, unless you live in AZ or CA. I spoke with someone from NJ and someone from austrailia last year with the same problems from glassworks. There are threads on a nissan forum, ttora, and custom tacos with similar stories. I went through much aggravation to get my money back. Tim ignored me when I gave him my card # and info again when we both agreed about a refund. Fortunately, my credit card co was able to reverse the transaction. Tim stated specifically over the phone, "sure, we can get it out to you in Connecticut, we ship all over the world." I really would'nt have minded if Tim was honest from the get go and said they were too busy, or the fenders couldnt be sent.

Sometimes it's better to order through one of the resellers. Having another local company yelling at them to fulfill an order is often more motivating than some random guy thousands of miles away calling to complain.

Let the company you order through deal with them. The reseller doesn't want to risk its reputation on Glassworks not shipping and will go the extra mile to keep the customer happy.

Glassworks is a legit company. Customer service is lacking because he is always busy. Don't expect return phone calls, do not expect anyone to pickup the phone. He might be backordered. Who knows how many employees he may have but he makes good glass. Just slow service and communication.

bingo. they are also involved in this thing called off road racing. people will leave their shop, go out to the dezert for days at a time and not have cell or internet connection and then when they come back to civilization, the shop is generally quite behind and super busy trying to turn out product. i know, it's crazy...

yes, Tim does have poor communication at times and from a paying customer's view point it can be unacceptable, but they guy have been huffing fiberglass fumes for who knows how long... he's working with a few less brain cells than most of us. Tim is super cool dude and his operation is far from a scam so dont be dumb and say it is when you're just pissed off.

So the business is not a scam, I can see that. What I cant understand is why the glassworks website advertised a fiberglass package available to the general public. Its like I said, When I call to order, I hear that yes, I can get the parts for a specific quoted price with shipping over the phone, so I let him charge my card. My expectations are that I will receive the shipment within 2-3 weeks as described when i ordered. With 5 calls a day every day after a month, no response, and no packages wouldnt you think someone was scamming you? Its lucky that I did use a credit card and not a debit, credit card has a 60 day period to dispute the charge which i almost missed. I have every right to be pissed off, I nearly lost $1000 because the order was behind, then accidentally still in the shop, then shipped to the wrong address, then another fender package was to be sent by another shipping co with a phony tracking#, then it was lost in shipping, and finally a phony refund. Screw you Tim, I'm far from the only one, dont make a promise on what you cant deliver. When the next person calling to place an order from oh lets say far away like New Hampshire, maybe that person should know their order will arrive sometime in 6 months or possibly 1 to 3 yrs.

wow sounds like a pretty shiesty company, would definitely not want to work with them directly after seeing all the complaints about them "not only from here". Customer service is everything with a business, something that sounds like they need to work on a lot.

I have had some bad experience with them before. They take a hell of a long time to get the parts to you. I remember it took a few weeks until my fenders shipped to my house.

    Guys:

All I can say is that I was charged for my order on September 1st, 2011 and it was supposed to be shipped to my freight forwarder's address during the following week. It has been over three months and a half. I have emails from Tim saying the order is in transit but he never sent me the tracking number. Another email says the goods were delivered but there was no one at my freight forwarder's address. BS! I kept asking for the tracking number.
I understand he must be involved in racing and must spend time in the desert but that is no reason to lie saying shipment is on the way when its not.
Also, every time he picks up the phone he says he will check the order status and just leave you on hold for 15 minutes or more..

I just hope I can get my fenders or my money back. I also, hope he does not screw anyone else.
