    I'm in such a weird situation right now. I am a resident of Texas living in Virginia. I left the military so I no longer have orders that allow me to buy a firearm in this state. My wife is still active duty so she is the one that has to buy my firearms for me....

    We have a Glock blue label dealer here so I want to take advantage while she's still able to get the discount. I'll probably try to sell the 23 outright and go get a gen 5 glock 19. Blue label price is $398.20 for it.

    That means I become a resident of Virginia meaning I have to pay all the stupid commonwealth taxes. Where as staying a Texas resident I don't have to pay anything. Virginia literally makes you pay a fee for everything. They want me to give them $100 a year for owning a pet...plus this is temporary. I'll be back in Texas in a year.

    ha! The pet thing isnt the worst of it. I get a letter from the county every year saying I owe them $400 for every vehicle I own. Thats why i just keep Texas residency to get that crap waived. As for the guns, my wife enjoys guns too so I'm good. I am going to attempt to buy a gun on base to see if that works for me though.
