Picked up this Glock 19 from Red Beard Gun works in Portland Texas, they do a shit ton of precision match rifles and badass cerakote. But they can do pretty much anything. This one is a FDE 19 with frame work by Landers weapon solutions, slide machining by Fire4effect, and cerakote by Red Beard Gun Works. I had them throw a Lantac barrel in it before I left. So nice, new favorite.

PROBLEM & QUESTION.....I have a stock Glock 19 with the factory plastic sights. I also have a retired Glock 22 with Trigicon H3 night sights. I want to swap the night sights off of the G22 onto the G19. Rear sights are NO problem. The front night sight on the G22 looks as if it is pressed in (NO 3/16 hex screw) I am not sure how it comes out it looks to be pressed in ? any help would go a long way. I can provide a picture if needed but it might not be to clear using my phone. I also posted this in the Firearms BS thread for help.

I believe the first gen's had a front plastic sight that just "clipped" in. Just squeeze the bottom side with needle nose pliers and pop out. You can replace with the newer screw front sight.
i'm sure there are instructional Youtube videos out there

What's the ownership history of the 22 and trijicon sights?

The G22 started life as a new issue LEO pistol for my Daughter and the sights are original when it was issued.

I was going to try and push it out, I did not want to knock on it for fear of breaking the sight vile holding the fluid.

I can't recall seeing a Glock front sight that wasn't either plastic clips or the screw

I'd LIGHTLY tap it from inside the slide to see if it will pop loose or even a thin towel and needle nose pliers on the sight itself

I've had a couple get stuck when swapping after the screw was pulled

@JimBeam My Daughter called her Armor and he told me the night sights on LEO glocks are crimped in. I checked my G22 and G26 both LEO pistols. and the ring that you see in the photos is metal. I tried to push on it and it is a no go. He told me they change them when they get dim and or break ("when you have to pistol whip somebody") so I am just going to order me a set of sights for my G19 and be done with it.

I have a gen 2 that takes Glock 17 mags with a Midwest Industries red dot mount. Its pretty decent for the money. There is a recall on newer ones.

    I'd look into a ar pistol in 9mm if I was buying again (9mm doesn't need a 16" barrel).

I had one in 40 that took glock mags. It was fun to shoot and reliable but not very accurate. Mine might have been the exception but it would shoot a like 3ft circle at 100yds.
Also if you want to run an optic the forend plastic isnt super strong so it wont hold a zero all that well.

I bought a scorpion pistol and havent looked back. With a brace and a red dot or even the stock irons itll run circles around a sub2k. AR platform would be cool too though

I have a Sub 2000 2nd Gen. I also went to MCARBO web site and bought everything to upgrade all those plastic parts inside and replaced the feed ramp etc. Mine takes the Glock 19 Mags. I love the damn thing .......just a warning all your buddies will want to shoot it all the time.
