I was thinking of selling my Glock 23 (also have the lone wolf conversion barrel to shoot 9mm) and picking up an M&P shield 9mm. I know we are all biased here on the Glock. anybody have both? Talk me out of it..lol

What I'm looking at for my new G26. I love fiber optics and Tritium together, works very well.

Why I'm partial to Glocks and don't own any S&W autos , id just keep the Shield.Just have someone cut some slide serrations on your 23 and call it a day.I also run a 23 w/conversion barrel and have had zero issues in about 20k rounds.Well ,except wearing out a factory striker. And we all know what happens then...LOL

You definitely want to shoot one first. You may like it, you may hate it. Either way, better to know before selling your current piece.

For the record, I am a wheelgun guy, but I really enjoy shooting my Gen 4 Glock.

I have both the g23, the Shield and the full sized M&P. They’re different firearms for sure. If you have bigger hands the shield might feel a little wierd in your hands because of the single stack narrow grip. Recoil is felt slightly more on the M&P again because of the small frame/shorter barrel. Other than that the Shield is a crisp little gun. I think they each have their separate place in my collection. If you’re thinking of trading because you only plan on having one carry gun, then I’d tell you to keep the 23.

I'm a smaller guy, small hands. the 23 fits perfect in my hands, but that shield feels a lot better. I have had this 23 for about 5 years with no complaints. I originally had the 19 but sold it due to working for a company that required a .40 caliber. I really miss that 19. I was damn good at the range with it. soo, I bought myself a lonewolf conversion. :)

I love my Shield. I switch between the Shield and my G17 depending on what I am wearing. The Shield is just so easy to conceal. If I were only going to have one carry gun, it would be my Glock, hands down. But if you can swing both, it is nice to have an easy to hide alternative.

Since everyone was talking 19X, I have about 4k rounds through mine and it’s been perfect. Very happy with that purchase. Hope everyone getting the 45 enjoys it also.

I have both. Still love my Glocks.
I carry my Shield daily though because it’s single stack, I can’t really appendix carry a double stack easily

Finally got around to watching the 'Ant Man' movie from a couple of years ago last night. Does anybody know where I can find one of these sweet hammer-fired G17's?

I really don't understand how film makers manage to make these mistakes. If you're going to have ants jam a hammer, just give the guy a hammer-fired gun in the first place!
