I think a lot of people were pissed but it would cut deep into there bottom line profits....

Many that I have talked too since they came out have said it has hurt sales some....

    That's a good point

Glock kind of spoiled us with the mags over the years...many other brands arent that interchangeable

I'm late to the game.... Just stumbled upon this thread and had to contribute.

    G27 Gen3 - Conceal carry weapon
    G23 Gen3 - Old duty weapon, now wife's shooter
    G22 RTF2 Gen3 - Current duty weapon

I know there's a lot of .40S&W haters these days, but I also have conversion barrels for each one for when I'm out plinking and messing around. These are all Lone Wolf conversion barrels. Standard G27 40-9, Compensated G19 40-9, and Alpha Wolf match grade G22 40-9. Since mine are all Gen3 you literally swap barrels and use a 9mm mag and you're good to go.

If you shoot once case of 9mm, you'll have paid for your barrel in the savings over .40S&W, plus you can shoot all day without your wrist hating you.

Loved looking through this thread and see what all you guys (and gals!) have!

Yes, Sir! well, it's not the 'c' (Compact) just the standard APL.. fits any holster setup for TLR that I've tried.

You like? I’m a big streamlight fan but I’ve been looking at the aplc and a olight pl mini as other options for my edcg19 or g23/m&p40 service weapons

yeah it's treated me very well. i like that it takes one CR123, and it's either momentary on steady... I don't need strobe on my gun, lol. I keep an OLight on my keychain (EOS - 90 lumen off one AAA for 45 mins), I've looked at the OLight duty lights but saw some that were rechargeable and i'm now sold on that for a duty light... I do keep my Streamlight Stinger DS/HL on my belt and a ProTacHL in my bag for a backup.

Back to your original question... my Inforce has served me well for 3-4 years now, to the point i'm not looking for an 'upgrade' at this point.

On my belt I carry a stream light strion and an extra in my bag. Both rechargeable. I don’t have a weapon light, so I figured it would be a good thing to have

    It comes in handy.

I always keep a light that isn't rechargeable just in case.... ONE time on a super cold night i ran completely out of juice, and my backup was half charged and didn't last long. lesson learned there, it'll never happen again.

i have both the apl-c and the gen 3 apl. the controls are finicky, sometimes they work, sometimes it does. maybe its the operator. Either way they're ok, not surefire quality but decent enough for the price.

Thanks for some insight! It’ll be hard for me. It to go streamlight, but I’m considering!

My inforce APL is of good quality...but it always seems to figure out how to turn itself on in my bag in a kydex holster and it's dead whenever I pull the thing out

My Surefire doesn't seem to have the same issue...plus my Surefire is a QD and can easily be swapped between pistols

i can tell you that i always look for the cheapest option. while it isn't always the best, for my use it works. gives my wife on my shift days enough lumens to light up the joint if ever needed. the compact light is ok, again not a surefire. but it does the job. just make sure the light is kept tight, it'll work then. Ive heard of people sending them back over the controls.

get what you're comfortable with .

let me add i am not an operator by any means. more of a keyboard operator lol, just a dumb firefighter, i have yet to use any of my lights in a night class. which i hope to take soon.
