Confirming, the 74 wedge base LED fits both the glove box and ashtray bulbs, installed and working. I was toying with the idea of running always-on power to the glove box and installing a switch, then realized I have too much time on my hands so lights-on only will be fine for a while lol

The inner panel from Ebay arrived last week, and had that light socket with the cover. Rather than swap out the whole upper panel, I just popped out the light socket, which is held in by 4 plastic clips. Put the LED bulb in it. Then I removed the light socket missing the cover in the truck the same way, unplugged it, plugged in the replacement with bulb, and snapped it into the upper panel. Tested for power, done.

All this was made a lot easier by removing 2 Philips screws under the glove box door, and the door and its contents came right out, giving me plenty of room to work.

Thanks to all for your input. I found out later I could have ordered a new light socket from Toyota, for about the same cost as the panel with the socket from Ebay.
