I know this has been covered in some other threads but even after reading them - the suggestions haven't helped me get rid of this annoying rattle that comes from the glove box (near the latch it sounds like) when the truck is accelerating.

This is on a 2009 and I'm hoping someone has a cure...? When my music is on it's no big deal but it can be clearly heard otherwise.

I have tried taping all the wires down below behind the glovebox, putting foam paads between the box and the dash frame where they meet and playing around with the latch itself?

    Any ideas and thanks!

Did the proper thing and searched for similar threads. Unfortunately, the only one I found was not answered.

The sound I have is more of a "buzz" and its usually only under acceleration. I'm gonna stuff some things in some places :D and see if that helps.

Anyone else have the BUZZ (different than a rattle)?

Did you ever figure out the problem? I have an 09, same as yours with 600 miles on it. Sounds like the same rattle.

I have also checked all the other threads and none of that stuff worked, hope you came up with something cool they didnt...

I had a buzz comming from the front passenger side and I had it in and out of the dealer many times. They found it was something to do with the intake and put on some new bracket..

Eric, is this what you're talking about? http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2nd-gen-tacomas/17102-sound-coming-passenger-side.html

If you have the same buzz the rest of us have (not beer induced), cable tying behind the GB is what you need. Start at post #40 in link above.

HA! That is the link I was looking for! I love this forum. I do not love the search feature...doesn't work that well. I will try zip tying everything behind the glove compartment and update tomorrow.

HAHA how lucky. Mine sounds like there is an electric razor going off behind my glove box between 1000 and 1600 rpm...but only sporadically.

I still have the buzz and haven't been able to pinpoint it. It's only in the lower RPM's (1/4 throttle). If I accelerate to 1/2, it goes away.

I did NOT see that post and will be ripping into that area this week. I just finished a 9hr drive home from vacation and it drove me nuts! I'm OCD about things and cab vibrations are one of them.

I'll be sure to report back after I tie cables together.

    I don't have a lug nut key so I don't think that's causing it.
