The top shelf is about 4" at the front and it tapers back to about 1". You can see from the pics in the first post that there is room for the stack of manuals and a few maps on top of the manuals. The top shelf is about 6" deep. Hope this helps.

Joe, Thanks for the order and the great write up on Amazon. Looks like your ready for more stuff with all those empty spaces.

I took my manuals out and put them behind the back seat, above the jack. They fit with the organizer, but it was pretty bulky up there (not the organizer's fault; Toyota gives you a ton of material). It looks so much cleaner with them not in the glove box now.

Good point. How often do you look at any of them other than the main one?

My organizers came in the mail yesterday, put them in today. Love them! Thanks. LOL sad thing is after looking through this thread I have a couple items I am going to put in my truck, saw some photos and thought a few things could come in handy.

My box o' reading material from Toyota fit on the top of the shelf, but just barely. I keep my insurance and registration in that folder so it doesn't get lost, and I just know if I moved that book somewhere else I'd never see it again.

I received the organizer for the glove box and console last week. Great idea and they fit well. I am having an issue with the organizer for the glove box as it will not stay snapped together, particularly the two end pieces. I am considering putting a couple of drops of hot glue?

Full OME lift 885's with Dakar leaf springs. LR UCA's. ImMrYo relocation bracket.
Received mine last night, they work great. For the glove box organizer I put down a piece of tool box liner down and am able to put my manuals up top without the organizer moving. Thank you Salex for the quick shipping!

I'm assuming you mean the end pieces don't stay snapped together when it's not installed. Once you slide it in the glove box bin, the side to side fit is so tight the end pieces stay locked together. If you want the ends to stay together outside the glove box use a piece of electrical tape on each corner and you should be good. Let me know how it goes.

Update to the glove box organizer:

I have started shipping two 3.5" black sticky back velcro strips with the glove box organizers. This replaces the earlier rubber strip. This will guarantee a no slip fit when installed. Here is velcro part http://www.amazon.com/Velcro-Brand-Sticky-Back-Pkg-Black/dp/B000TGSPV6

Thanks to TW members that made this upgrade on their own and posted feedback!
