OK, for everyone and future purchasers, I had one small problem. The weight of my manuals was pressing down on the back -- causing the bottom front to slide forward. I fixed this with 2 small binder clips. One attached to each side. See pic. Otherwise, great!!!

Does it make any noise as you drive down the road? Like if you hit any big bumps?

That's quite a set of manuals on the top shelf! Has anyone else been having this problem? I'm wondering if I need to include some little foam rubber pads to go under the bottom plate to prevent the sliding.

    Let me know.

These are all the manuals that came with my 2012 Taco. Separate manuals for truck, nav, and all the little manuals for tires, maintenance, etc. The clips work great. Foam rubber pads would work too. Probably also answer the other question above it making any noise (bouncing) although I don't think there is any issues there..

I just received my glovebox organizer the other day, and let me just say that the quality is outstanding! My center console organizer is awesome and served me well, which is why I ordered the glovebox organizer...
The glovebox organizer could not support the weight of my manuals however... I tried 3M tape and the clips, but it kept slipping... I decided to use the organizer as a dresser drawer organizer for my newly born daughter's drawer, and it holds all her baby "extras" greatly! It is holding all the baby socks, gloves, etc perfectly! Long story short, the organizer didn't work for me personally as far as the taco goes, but it holds extraordinary value as a quality organizer! Thanks a LOAD! I think you may want to consider venturing out into other organizer "patents"!

Here's a couple tricks I used. I used a rubber mallet on the middle pieces to get them into the top and bottom. A slight tap is all you need. Once in place, I stood it on end and used the clear packing tape to hold the end piece on. Then I flipped it over and did the same to the other end. This holds it in place and made it easy to go into the glove box. Then I clipped it into place.

I'm glad that you put your organizer to good use but I want to get it back in your truck.

I have been able to get mine to slip when I load up the top shelf today. I put a strip of 3M bumpon urethane on the bottom back edge and it fixed the problem. So it sticks to the organizer and its is friction at the bottom of the glove box. I will get some made this week and send them out to anyone with the problem. I will also start adding them with new shipments.

5100's all around, OME 887 with 1/4" spacer, icon 3 leaf aal. 255/75/17 BFG KM's on 4runner pro's. Rigid led pods. Debadged and tinted.
Sounds good, that should be a big help!

Mine seems to stay in place with the glove box closed, but when its open and I mess with my manuals is when it will slide a bit.

Just installed mine. Yes the foam tape will help as the manuals do cause the bottom to slip out. Using a couple of pieces form my local office supply and will solve the issue.

The console box went in fine also.

In addition, I lightly sanded all facing edges to remove or at least minimize my chances of scrapping my hands. Now it is just time to play around and decide what goes where.

Thanks, they will be a great addition to my improvements

Received my glove box organizer on Friday (lightning fast delivery!). It came without any paperwork, so I referred to other peoples' pictures here to see how it was to go together. I gotta say, it was pretty frustrating to get the pieces together and stay together. The two end pieces wouldn't stay put for anything. But once inside the glove box, the end pieces kind of stayed where they belonged and kept the top piece from moving.

It's really nice in terms of how it organizes the glove box! Much better than the cavern Toyota provides. The quality of the plastic used seems good. I'm hoping that over time, and with extreme temperature changes, the pieces stay where they belong.

I like it, but compared to the console organizer I'm not as thrilled.

Mine slips as well. I'll try some foam tape, sure that will help. Really like the organization. thanks!

I have the assembly instructions posted on my website and at the beginning of this thread. It is a bit of a puzzle. I decide to be "green" and not put paper instructions with the parts.

The parts are a tight fit to keep things from moving around. The end pieces will only stay together when installed. If there is a need for it to stay together outside the glove box I would use small pieces of electrical tape on the corners.

Overall I hope it does the job for you.
