Glove box won’t open

I changed cabin filter after taking out the glove box. After putting everything back closed the glove box. Now the glove is shut and will not open. The handle is on open position and doesn’t help in opening the glove box. Does anyone know how to open the glove box?

 

Try holding the release button and pushing in at the same time. Your cabin air filter door may not be completely closed causing a bind in the glove box door latch.

 

Take your truck offroad. It will open itself

 

I tried all the tricks but the glove box is still stuck. Taking it to a buddy to check it out.

 

My glove box wouldn't latch. I tore it apart trying fix the damn latch, but couldn't. Toyota doesn't sell the latch, just the whole glove box for more thaN $200. I found one on ebay for $75. Got it and installed it and 2 days later it refused to latch!!! I have owned this 2007 Tacoma since April 16 and had to repair the center console storage latch and now the glove box!! Other than that it's a good truck.
