Glove compartment help

    on the 2nd gen tacomas the glove compartments have that lil ole device that eases down the glove compartment when you open that. somehow mine came unattached and now the compartment just slams down whenever i open it.

    How do i reattach this?

    it just slips on the tab, take the glovebox out by pulling up while its open, and then you can see where it is supposed to attach

    Pics for you in case you don't know which hole goes on which tab. Post #6 has the pics with everything labeled. And if it fell off once, it'll likely do it again. You'll want to put a screw in between the tabs on the dash mounting tabs to keep them spread apart with the damper on. That way it won't ever fall off again when you unhook it from the glove box end.

    mine keeps coming off, so i left it off
