Ian’s FTW! It’s excellent with a smidge of butter, toasted in the skillet, and gently laid to rest upon a supple bed of the cheesiest mac ‘n’ cheese known to man :)

I need a GF scone recipe stat!!!! :angrygirl:

Got a truckload of fresh-picked raspberries to use up and scones seem like the best option.

Those are beautiful! I’ll be on the lookout, but good luck on your search!

I bought frozen gf puff pastry awhile back because I’d never seen it. Hoping to figure out a fruit tart recipe

Edit: my wife likes to try baked goods from Half Baked Harvest. The blackberry scones could be altered? https://www.halfbakedharvest.com/?cat=4&s=Scone

ooh...if its the same puff i tried a while back....not impressed. i tried a chicken pot pie crust though. can't remember the brand.

and you're not helping. I spent the morning picking berries thinking I would have no trouble finding an easy recipe to use them in but so far nothing. i can't let them go to waste! they're so tasty!

I've been scouring the interwebs for recipes. Bettycrocker is my go to and they always recommend Bisquick recipes first. Nothing sounds interesting.
Also, after not being able to find GF Bisquick for weeks in local stores I stocked up and now have 6 boxes in my cabinets so if I can use it I'm all for it!

also, this is my go to for fried chicken. about 1/2 cup of this + 1 tbps of Bisquick + a little more pepper, paprika and sage and youre good.

Looks mighty tasty with a bit of a twist for flavour. Procurement of Blackberries (in my case, Saskatoons) often involves hand to hand with birds, critters & sometimes bears. Much coveted around here for the real McCoy.

well for better or worse scones are in the oven. cooking them in the camper, too hot to turn on the oven in the house
    i went with this
    https://www.mommyhatescooking.com/easy-blueberry-scones-gluten-free-optional
and used my flour mix plus two tsps of xanthan, plain yogurt instead of buttermilk, used up the last of my huckleberries plus about 3/4 cup raspberries, and added in some lemon zest and juice from half a small lemon.

so....huckleberry lemon raspberry scones in 15...

me too. the camper smells awesome right now!
the downside to the RV oven is uneven heating so i just went and rotated the pan half way through the cook time. hoping it dont have to play musical scones and shuffle the outside ones to the middle as well.

    i will report back!

Cut & broke off stuff. Prolific ziptie and tape usage.
mmm. The Ian's is good stuff. My kids love the fish sticks.

King Arthur GF pancake mix. Also delicious.

A few people in my house have definite gluten reactions. Haven't noticed anything myself regarding gluten but discovered that I really like the natural and whole foods better in general when GF drove us more down that path.

There is a pizza place outside Memphis that imports his wheat/flour and some other items direct from Italy. Whole, unrefined, pure (non-GMO), etc. Makes his own breads, crusts, cheeses, balsamic, and some other stuff. All the GF people in my house can eat his foods without the least bit of reaction. And it tastes awesome. Is there a way to find more such places?

My wife is gluten-free and also diabetic. If anyone else is both, have you noticed that GF items based on tapioca flour or tapioca starch raise sugar readings a lot? Curious if it's common or just her.
