Hey everyone. Been browsing around on this forum and decided to make an account. I've owned nothing but GM vehicles and decided to get a Toyota Tacoma and I love it. First thing I want to do is get some LED headlights.

Welcome to the forum, you might want to consider HID headlights over LED headlights as they will perform better in the projectors.

Oh really ? My local truck accessory shop said LEDs were better than HID. I'm wanting to purchase some but don't know which to get.

Welcome to TW! I kept the Halogens in my 2nd gen but I believe HIDs have a knack for burning out quickly when compared to LEDs but just my .02

The general consensus is that LED's don't have a hot spot to throw light down range so they may appear bright but they don't perform as well. There are a few LED's that claim to address the hot spot issue but they are few and far between.

    ^ yup.
There a lot of variables just throwing a LED Bulb into a projector such as; bulb seating depth, location of LED, number of LEDS etc. most PnP led bulbs the emitter is on 1 or 2 sides...compare this to a HID or halogen bulb where light emits 360°. It will do a much better job is spreading the light out evenly which is what the projector was designed around.
Welcome to TW and 3%'s unite!

I had a Hylux kit on my last truck and it worked great. Much better than some of the other stuff on the market.
