After an hour of research I'm still stuck so maybe someone can help me. I want to buy a go pro unit that can video the road, and when needed, flip around to record the inside of the cab. Any suggestions on what might be the best go pro camera? TIA.

I would just compare the features and decide which one fits your needs and budget best.

I've had a GoPro hero 3+ for years, which I have only used a hand full of times. I got it from a friend for about $100-150 practically brand new when they were about $300. I'm glad I didn't pay full price for it.

Just remember, a GoPro is not a dashcam.

If you want a dash cam look into Blackvue, thinkware and Kenwood(they just came out with a dual dash cam).
