So my Gobi rack is on the way. Should be here next week. Will update more later. May be some some OEM rails on the marketplace soon.

Here it is. Took about 3 hours but that included finding the right tools which were scattered around the garage.20180428_131240.jpg 20180428_131226.jpg

Looks great! I like the low profile of the stealth but The ranger looks good on your truck! Nice work

Thanks, I got the ranger over the stealth with the intent to throw some KC Hilites up there some day.

I added some pia lights to my fj’s rack. Sadly I never got around to wiring them in.

    :annoyed:

Finally got mine and put it on. Great product, oozes quality and only one I could find that allowed me to enjoy my sunroof.

Ordered with the "no rise" option which I like better. Had a hard time finding any pics with the no rise for the Tacoma so posting a few in case others were looking for it.

You would think for the high price it would be long enough too actually match the length of the roof, anyway too rich for me.

What are the dimensions (LxW) between the upper bars? (i.e. maximum length/width of an item that could fit completely within the upper bar)

Hi my car is lifted 3 inches. With the gobi rack and if your truck is raised, do you find any clearance issues through parking structures etc? I like the prinsu but it doesn’t have side walls. I go camping a lot with the kiddos and plan to throw luggage up there. Thanks

I wonder if Gobi will sell the Gobi roof rails separately? Might have to give them a call.

They seemed open to ‘alterations’ when I talked with them. They were willing to build me an extended length rack when I asked. We didn’t get to pricing or actual quotes though.

I forget how good looking the Gobi is. I’ve been thinking about the uptop rack lately, but I do miss the Gobi I had with my FJ.

I know this is an old thread. But I’m getting gobi to customs build me a rack, and I need some measurements. Would like to know if they added 3-4” would that even out the look?

I just installed a Gobi stealth light bar version. I ordered exactly what you are thinking of: 3” extension in the back. I had extensive conversations with their engineers about it.

BUT, they sent me a stock setup with separate lights layout. They were quick to fix the issue but I didn’t want another 15 week wait so opted for a stock layout but with the light bar front like I wanted.

let me know what photos you want to see and I’ll take some. From my measurements 3” would be perfect.

That’s what I’m thinking. I’m still waiting for them to shoot back a reply, but I was thinking 3.5-4” would that be too much?

I’ll take you some pics tonight. The catch point for easy modifications is ther rearward mount. One of the bolts just clears the rack rails, so you need to extend far enough to now clear from the other side of the bar. If that makes sense. I’ll take some good photos.

I used this as my photo for them to work with. I want to extend the entire rear to equal the look out.
