Just got back, not the 3D .Love it,it stayed to the true Godzilla Vs Mothra films. It was worth it. Would be good in 3D.

once they actually got to anything Godzilla, i liked it.

    but......

no spoilers..it's just that this stuff really sticks out to me

i don't like the typical "audience pandering" they think they have to have in movies like this.

i.e. the aircraft carrier captain "explaining" to his crew what they are doing..... they don't need it explained to them, but they think the audience does :frusty:

another of many was when Ford gets put into the helicopter to be medicvac'd out and he asks the peon next to him "what are they doing with 'that'?" and the guy proceeds to explain, in detail, what is happening.
...how the F would this guy know??!?

overall it is very reminiscent of the original.
especially the fighting style.....that was awesome.

I hope by 'fighting style' you don't mean that they've got Godzilla utilizing cheesy karate moves and doing gravity-defying tail slides like in Godzilla vs Megalon...

I know, every time they'd start fighting it would go back to the family story.
