I actually looked into composite materials (ABS, HDPE...ect) however none of them where strong enough so I went with the aluminum. I have a dozen or so models now for V1 and V2 GFCs. The website will be up soon as well.
For now I am working through the GFC forum. https://forum.gofastcampers.com/t/ruff-road-designs-molle-panels/13119/18

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
Nice. I really like my AluCab setup. Good choice.

Anyone figured out a way to mount a hi-lift along the GFC rails by chance?

Just trying to see what options may be out there.

I've had my GFC since February and personally I would be worried about the T slots in the extrusion being up to the task of a hi-lift. They just don't seem that burly to me, though maybe I'm underestimating what you can hang off of them.

yeah that's definitely a valid concern. they aren't exactly robust. we could both be wrong though.

I actually sold my hi-lift on my trip coming back from Montana. Drove it around for 4 years, and I dont think I used it once. Plus its one of those things that everyone has. Ill let someone else carry one

I still have a jackstand/bottle jack combo, but I was building my truck for crawling first, so it has almost more travel than a hi-lift can handle. The bottle jack can get my wheels off the ground to change tires, so thats all I need.

Exactly. Bottle jack under the axle or a-arm I trust a lot more than a hi lift. Same, I never got a hi lift. People I know that have gotten one, never used.

First test trip out with the gfc, wife and baby. Super glad I bought a exped mattress to go on top of the foam. Actually had a pretty decent night sleep. Condensation is going to be a problem so looks like I’m going to be putting a fan in. I have Matt geckos dual light kit to install but haven’t yet. We def need lighting in the camper. I want to run a couple usb plugs up there as well.

here’s a pic, we’re just camping at a campsite next to our in-laws

I picked up a little Adventuridge tent fan/light at Aldi's for cheap. Remote control, effective fan that is super quiet. The light does bright, dim, yellow led's. Came with a clip - clip to ceiling strap & forget it.

Any recommendations for a great LED dimmer? the little push-button thing dims by like maybe 10%, and currently there's more light in my tent than a surgical suite! May have to pull some of the light out!

I read about some early lock issues on the V2. But since has been resolved.
