Im getting there slowly. Been on the street for 12 years. Just finding dirt now, so not too aggressive. Just got this in December, stock:

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
    That’s a killer bike! We
Most definitely should get together for an adventure. I am buying another lot right off the cane river. In the heart of best twisters in NC. Wanna do an over nighter hit me up. I am gonna be breaking the site in for dispersed bike camping.

I've got a 2012 DCSB and will be installing a V1. Do I need to chop the Sharkfin? I have the OEM rail caps.

That's what I'm asking. The GFC is not installed at the moment so I don't know if it clears. I'm looking for someone who has run a V1 on a 2nd Gen with stock bed rails to confirm that it'll fit.

I know early on there were clearance issues so people were modifying their antennas but I don't know if the fitment issue was due to aftermarket bed rails. The V2 sits higher and I believe the bed rails are higher on a 3rd Gen Tacoma.

    I have a V2 on a 2016 gen3 with stock rails. Plenty of clearance

when I had my GFC installed I wished I'd had cut it down / installed a shorty thou

when I got my Vagabond Drifter I installed a https://totallyradproducts.com/products/the-bullet-cover

    V1 on a 2012

I had a V1 GFC on my previous truck, a 2012 Access Cab. I was running KB Voodoo rails, but like @d.shaw says above it's close. Worth doing something about it before installing the camper.

Here's a post I made about swapping to a Camry antenna:

We took a quick overnighter to test out our new overland softgoods mattress topper and sheet set. Such a huge difference to the sleep comfort, with my wife @prof.jones saying it was her best nights sleep in the camper by far (no tossing and turning) - great product (and people)

Chopped the Sharkfin without removing it.

Then I trimmed up a piece of metal flashing and then used some exterior sealant to attach. In the morning I'll clean up the residue and primer/paint.

I don't use the sat radio and my GPS antenna is on the dash so I'm not concerned with interference from the flashing.

Got my bumpers back from P.C. last night and mounted up. just in time as I leave tonight at midnight to start my drive up to pick up the camper friday morning first thing. Sorry @fatfurious2 Its a white second gen with white front and rear bumpers although we went with the white camper too. Going to have a twin running around down south. God I cant wait for vacation to start, the work day is going to drag today.

We are very close. I havent seen another white hybrid bumper in a long time. My rear bumper is actually white as the main part, and black for the swingout :anonymous:

And actually a friend of mine told me he got white sliders (but on his GX460)

I decided to go with a gray camper. In my opinion, black would have been too hot, white wouldn't hold enough heat. Also didnt want to look like a contractor truck, not that yours will with the bumpers

Well we have the exact same front bumper :anonymous: My wife picked all the colors as it is her truck and wanted all white on white on white. The panels of the GFC are more creme white so thats going to bother her till I take them into pc aswell. Yeah I hope it doesnt look like a contractors truck haha but I dont think it will with all the armor and stuff thats on it but we shall see.

Nice! Same exact options we went with for the camper. Good to see what it will basically look like. How does he like the stage 2 kit?

I think he said its fine. He's not really into offroad that much, so its hard to judge. It did have a little rake before he got the camper on

    Looks pretty flat now.
That is one of my worry points with my truck. I have a 6" lift on it but I have deleted all blocks and spacers out of it. Have a beefy leaf pack to hold the weight and still give e the lift so I sit flat but we will see what the new rear bumper plus the camper does to it and how much squat I am going to have after. Definitely going to have to address the leafs after the trip. The only question will be how much I will have to fuck with them. Hoping a simple re arch while being weighted they will get me flat and have just a bit of rack un packed .
