Some stuff I've done with my V1 GFC, purchased back in 2018.

Yeti Goal Zero for power, Kakadu for hot water. I keep the traction boards up against the wall there unless I think I'm likely to get stuck.
    IMG_4906.jpg

    Another angle.
    IMG_4907.jpg

Drying out the spare tire trash bag and ballcap on my clothes line. Works pretty well, especially with the hatch opened.
    IMG_4908.jpg

This angle also shows the cubbies I built years ago to hold stuff in the unused space behind the wheel wells. These are made from ABS and work great. Waterport has been awesome for extended camping trips.
    IMG_4909.jpg

The cable from truck battery to Goal Zero runs down through the wheel well and under the truck. Next few pics show how I route it to the engine bay. I'm not a fan of this route but it's worked for years and I've been too lazy to fix it since it's never caused an issue.
    IMG_4910.jpg

    Past the back tire.
    IMG_4911.jpg

Under the lower control arm. This is the sketchy part.
    IMG_4914.jpg

Here's where I drilled through the GFC to wire solar panels to the Goal Zero.
    IMG_4915.jpg

Solar panels up top. Since installing them I haven't come close to draining the battery. I run a griddle and coffee maker every morning when camping and these keep it topped off.
    IMG_4918.jpg

Some handy eyelets I keep on the bars to make tying stuff down quick and painless.
    IMG_4916.jpg

    More shots of the waterport.
    IMG_4919.jpg

    IMG_4920.jpg

All in all I'm happy with the GFC, although sometimes I think about the V2 since I like the frame much more. I had to do the hatch swap when the hinges broke like they did for many V1s.

Anyone got thoughts on the way I run the Goal Zero cable to the engine bay? Haven't given it much thought in years.

Keep it along/ontop inside of the frame. Then you can turn inside and come up along the firewall on front part of the cab and up by the brake booster, then over along the fender to the battery. One good stick or branch on the ground and that cable is getting ripped like that.

Good idea. Yeah that's my worry, I don't know how I've gotten lucky thus far. Thanks!

Sweet setup! How are those boards mounted on that front wall of the truckbed? That looks like what I need to do w/ mine. Always in my way, and always moving them.

I bet that larger Waterport is sweet. I just have the small one and love it.

Thanks! The waterport is a lifesaver for surf trips, I hate walking around salty when I get out of the water.

For the boards I bolted 2x flat iron bars with a few holes to the rail. The bars are bolted through to rail nuts at the top, and oriented up/down. Then I used bolts through some of the other holes in the bars, with the threaded rods of the bolts sticking out towards the back of the truck and locked into place with some nuts. Finally, I pushed the boards onto those bolts and locked them in with some wingnuts which you can barely see in the corners of some of the pics.

It's a little confusing sounding as I write it, I can take some pics if that didn't make sense

Unrelated - I've got a superlite waiting to mount up on my 1996 once the bed cap arrives.

Has anyone experimented with drilling into the roof of the superlite to add some lightweight roof top bars?

I imagine there's a way to mount some aluminum extrusion and heavily caulk/gasket any holes in the roof so the connection can be bolted all the way through for a secure connection.

I just want a nice way to secure surf boards up top. I'll remove them to open the superlite since I'm sure the little support poles aren't meant to carry any weight.

    Thoughts anyone?

any of you guys had issues with the adhesive holding the zippers for the smaller windows by your feet coming off?

just noticed it this weekend, the adhesive seems to be separating towards the top, wondering if anyone has any suggestions for a simple glue that would work to re-adhere it. Have noticed it around a couple other panels as well but nothing quite as serious as that zipper.

I had the same issue with delaminating. Send GFC support an email and they will recommend glue and also give you the option to replace the tent. They replaced mine early last year I believe. Under warranty. Who knows you might get the v2 pro tent upgrade.

Appreciate it! Just shot them an email. I had mine installed in Feb 2022 so I'm outside the warranty period.

As many of you know, I’ve been producing a few accessories for the GFC (rainfly/awning mounts, upgraded rear brake light, etc.). We’ve expanded our capabilities, and now have CNC machined options for our Rainfly/Awning mounting blocks and our upgraded brake/chase light with rearview camera mount! All of these items will be available both FDM (3D printed PETG) and CNC machined aluminum (hard coat anodized black) so you can take your pick based on which flavor best suits you! As part of these expanded capabilities, we’re launching a pre-order discount for those that want in early (enter code GFCEarly at check out while there’s still time)!

To those that already have the rainfly/awning mount kit or the upgraded brake light, we put something even more special together!! If you’re wanting to upgrade, send me a DM and you’ll receive an exclusive code to trade up to the CNC aluminum models!

Whether you’re needing an awning/rainfly kit, an upgraded rear brake light (and way to get your rearview mirror back) for increased visibility/safety while on and off the trail, or simply need a plug and play lighting kit for your camper… ASG Offroad has you covered so All Systems are Go for Offroad!

Have a gander at the attached pictures to pique your interest and let me know if any additional information would be helpful from my end!

@A_Baum92881, that's a funny looking GFC and on your site it looks like your parts are for the super pacific. Are you working on developing parts for the GFC or do you have them but they are not reflected on your page?

Also, be careful pimping your parts here with under 50 posts.

    Good afternoon StickyTaco,

The camper on my rig is not a GFC...rather a Super Pacific. You're correct that I do have a few items for the Super Pacific as that is what I had initially provided support for and have since expanded. I've developed items (like the rainfly/awning kit and upgraded brake light) that are cross compatible between the two campers (and others in the marketplace). Some of the GFC items are hyperlinked in my initial post (and here... rainfly/awning mount kit, upgraded brake light) that will direct you to these respective GFC items for easy referencing.

Thank you much for the info on posting upgraded items for the community with limited posts...I owe you big time :hattip:

Tested the solar out finally. So far been happy with the ecoflow delta 2 more than enough to maintain my minimal power needs of fridge and lights. DC charging even at 100w easily covers long weekends. The solar just backup for extended trips or extended stationary time20240803_075916.jpg

Nope was too much of a bitter pill to swallow I should have never agreed to move up my install date from late AUG to April. Would have gladly upgraded while in production.

Did order the headliner kit and zipper pulls with some referral credit I had
