How do you like having a bed carpet? Kinda like the idea for my knees but worried about desert dust getting stuck on there

Also dig the lights. Would definitely like to add some lights up top, after I get my other gfc issues resolved

We definitely like having the bed rug in the back. It’s a lot softer on the knees and feet. We also have a small handheld rechargeable vacuum to help with the dirt and all. We don’t have any desert dust over here so I’m not sure how we’ll orbit it would work for you. But we have been more than happy with it.

Thanks , I like them too. I have the lights in the top section , they actually fit in the channel so they shouldn’t interfere with the headliner. Just no pics of them at the moment sorry .

Have you looked into one of these to use a Dewalt battery for running 12v accessories?

While I don't have the GFC light kit I have the Hardkoor led strips and they stick in the T track the headliner is no issue with the lighting (white truck)

While i don't have a bed rug instead have a marine grade carpet lined 1/2 inch sheet of birch it's so much nicer than the rubber bed mat or open bed on your knees etc. As far as cleaning just vacuum out after each trip and take shoes off before climbing in at night. As long as your bed is reasonably well sealed dust isn't awful 20250221_114521.jpg

I like the marine grade carpet idea, that'll probably work out nice for me. Yeaaaa getting my v1 sealed has been a pain in the ass. Keep needing to adjust it

@Nicklovin, the storage cubbies in the bed and tailgate gaps are the biggest source of dust intrusion on my truck. That said, I've been running a bedrug for 12 years now and don't have any regrets, even with dust getting back there. As others said, shoes come off when we climb into the back of the truck.

Embrace Preventative Maintenace (replace closed cell foam you have added and has worn out) and Continuous Improvement (keep at it). Oh, and buy a battery-operated blower.

Got the headliner installed today. You can kinda see where I mounted the lights in the channel on the extrusion.

Doing a bunch of research on V2 Pro’s. Does anyone have any firsthand experience they can give me with theirs in regards to the new turbo nap foam and the tent redesign for condensation management?

I have a V2 pro but I just got it installed a few weeks ago. Note that I have only camped a single night so far and do not have any experience with the V2 or other brands of camper. I do a lot of tent camping but my only RTT experience was the GFC superlite which I enjoyed for what it was.

I have had some quality issues with my camper including a major issue where the top tent does not close and provide a seal (even when empty). The locks have also been an issue for many people. I honestly was not impressed with the TurboNap. For context I am a side sleep and spent a single night in temps right around 30F. I am probably going to give it a few more nights and then consider upgrading to a HEST mattress. I found the mattress to be closer in comfort to a backpacking pad than my Exped MegaMat (which is super comfortable).

Condensation I can't speak on a ton. I don't have a heater so the tent was pretty cold and I had frost inside rather than liquid water. I'm still waiting on the headliner which is delayed significantly and is a pain as well.

Right now my satisfaction with the tent is around a 3/10, but if GFC is able to fix the tent sealing issue and locks it could be as high as 7/10. Also note I have not had it in the rain yet which is one of my biggest concerns.

That does look pretty good. I might have to look into it....only reason I haven't done some sort of headliner already is I use the white panel as a screen for my mini projector when I'm camping and wanna watch a movie before bed lol.
