I agree with @fatfurious2 , add-a-leaf will just be a band-aid. I’ve been running a Wheeler’s 3-leaf add-a-leaf for 2 years now and it’s providing about 1/2” of lift with the weight of just the GFC, let alone any camp gear or an aftermarket rear bumper.

I’ve got a set of Deaver U402 stage 3’s sitting in the garage right now for that reason.

    *edit*
Glad to know the deavers are treating @d.shaw well too.

I'm running the light dakars, pretty happy so far, (with current RTT and frame) but will be curious to see what happens to the ride height when i've got the GFC and my gear in the back. (in 8 months! LOL) This is off topic maybe, but i notice a loud thunking coming off obstacles occassionally, and am wondering if that's the suspension hitting it's droop limit....

He did note that he did not want a lift..

In my case, id need a 3" lift, and capability to carry ~650lbs. My next step is Deaver S3

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
X2 on the Deavers, don’t waste your time with the AAL, it will only flatten out and rode like a turd.

This may be the wrong thread for this...but whats the latest and greatest on the rumor there is no true "build spot" as it used to be...folks on GFC forum are saying now they will mass produce a single variant (folks say the tacomas are at the front of the line) then move on to say tundra, then rangers, etc.

Anyone able to confirm that with GFC? It said July when I placed a deposit, but if they are moving build positions around based on vehicle, I see no reason to post that id pay/swap with someone for an earlier build date, if all tacos will be lumped into the same build session.

Not sure exactly what their cutoff will be for how many numbers will get lumped in together, but it's definitely based on what options people select from what they said. They have kind of already been doing this, as mine got lumped in with a lot of other "similar" builds last Summer before some of the more uncommon optioned ones that had earlier build numbers. I would still consider their estimated dates to be pretty spot on if not actually longer than how long it will really take. With that in mind, swapping for earlier build dates is probably still worth it if somebody was getting impatient.

Yes, confirmed. I don't think they're totally disregarding build number, but the vehicle type is the main driver right now. I'm build 1183 and am grandfathered into the V2 version. I paid in full 11/3 and has an estimated start date of mid-January. I talked to the GFC crew last week and they told me it had been delayed to a mid-February start.

Paid in full or deposit? I have a tacoma, and put my deposit 10/29. Im expecting to pick options in Feb/March. Originally build date was June.

Paid in full, 11/3. I took over another guy's spot, so not sure when the original deposit was put in. I think it was either late spring or early summer '20.

Based on my anecdotal "evidence" that follows, I do believe build spots are still honored. My spot is #998. I paid in full 11/25/2020 after deliberating a few more months on whether to stick with my long bed Tacoma. Today GFC called to say my camper is ready February 4.

Before all the V2 announcements I was supposed to start mid-January, then expect a late Feb to March delivery. Now I'm due to for a start mid-Feb and completion a few weeks later. With the new production process it's all the same

Good news. Got the call this morning that my GFC will be ready the week of 2/15. They're moving right along.

Is everything rolling off the factory floor now a V2? Does anyone know the cutoff date or build # it went from V1 to V2?

Bought spot 1230 today (March production) assuming its a V2 spot, but probably should have asked first.
