I did my own lights. It's a lot less expensive than the kits - but it takes time and you have to futz around with it. I'm happy with mine. But, I bought all my stuff before the kits were available. Now, it would be 50/50 whether I would spend a weekend doing it myself or just a couple hours with a plug and play kit.

Just jump on Amazon - buy a roll and some connectors. it's pretty easy.

I'm in Vancouver BC (and Kamloops area as well). I'm happy to show you mine if you're in the area.

Geckos lowers in action; you can also see my switch/aux fuse box on the passenger side rail:

Does anyone with a V2 GFC have the Martin Roof Rack? I have one and it works great with my V1 camper. So I guess I'm just looking for conformation that I can still use it with a V2, which I'm picking up ins 47 days.
    Thanks.

Edit: I just found the martin offroad website, so I've sent him an email for the answer, which I suspect will be yes.

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!

Did you mount to the factory bed rail using waterport’s bracket?

How are you liking it so far for usability and capacity?

    thanks!

Yes I used the stock bracket but also made some spacers made from a 2x4 to clear the gfc brackets.

so far so good it’s held up it’s full weight and I’ve been on the road camping for 6 days now.

Hey guys, I recently got a v2 GFC. It’s pretty awesome.

    C86880C2-D993-4447-A0DF-6AE5B2D4B662.jpg

I’m interested in adding an auxiliary 12v outlet in the bed. I’ve done some searching on this site but was only able to find instructions that were for an always-on outlet. I want the outlet to be turned on with the ignition switch. Is anyone on here aware of some good instructions (or video) for what I’m trying to accomplish?

    Thanks!
