Sounds good, did you extend your brake lines and get longer travel shocks? I've got the bilstien 5100 on the back right now.

You will want to if you plan on offroading more than the average gravel roads.

Yep, extended brake lines and I'm running Fox 2.0s front/rear. The rears are designed for 2-3" lift, which I believe is slightly longer travel than stock.

    None.... yet
    @gman36

That is an awesome set-up, you may have mentioned it with a subsequent post, but what size is your bike frame and wheels?
Your set up is almost exactly what I am looking for except I would like to have two bikes in there.
I have a large 29er so does that still fit the way you have it?

Also, do you have plans or measurements for your drawer set up?

Anyone with a GFC also have Goose Gear drawers, etc. installed in their bed? Curious to see how it looks and functions.

Also curious if anyone with a Decked system finds the clearance to be an issue with storing gear or if you feel cramped getting in and out via the tailgate.

Not a decked but similar enough.....no issues at all.... as the drawer is inset back from the tailgate about 10 inches or so. I use that space to insert myself into the bed area at the right angle.... after a few times brushing the back bar, you remember where to go very quickly. In some ways its easier as I can put my knees on the drawer and then stand up from there once my whole body is inside

Good to know! Just saw someone shared in another thread that a Decked system for a short bed is for sale, so I might be down in picking that up before my GFC install.

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
I have a decked and love it! Yes there are other systems that give you more space, but this one does it all for me. I can pressure wash my bed out if need be, try that with something made of wood.
I really like the how it enables me to have side access to my stuff. If I didn’t have a box or raised system, it would be a pita to reach stuff out of the sides with my truck being so jacked up.

Can someone with a V2 on a second gen confirm what GFC is doing for the nearly 3/4” gap along the front bedrail. I assume they are using some type of double gasket stacking one on the other? I’m thinking of running 1/2” hdpe trim and securing it along the top of that bed rail and using silicone in the seams to prep a nice flat surface, but don’t want to get things in their way. Pics would be a bonus for their solution- I appreciate the time,

Pretty sure they double it up there.

didnt have to for mine. The kbvoodoo rails brought down the gap to 1/8".

I would recommend reaching out to GFC directly and getting a solid answer instead of end user speculation. They are extremely responsive especially after you’re in the que.

Waiting for GFC to fix the hinges, earlier was only driver side door that had started to break about 3" at the rear, my rear door completely snapped off. I am looking for a way to secure gear inside the bed. Thinking of using a piece of 1/2" plywood but can't figure out how to secure it so I can still access bed. I am keeping both sides closed and locked so they don't break before GFC gets out to East Coast.

Have you sent GFC Customer Service a note? When my side door let go before the hinge fix, they sent me a kit to keep it closed (for free!) so it wouldn't fall off before Mike got here... they might have a solution for the rear door too... sorry to hear you're having issues.

Yes, I have the hardware to hold the doors in place, however, I need to be able to open/close the rear door. I figured out a temporary solution... I will post up photos once I get it installed.

Temporary could also be HVAC or Flexseal tape.

Yeah, agreed, no idea how what they sent me for the side would work for the rear and still be able to get inside... you're definitely in a pickle... sucks, sorry... when is the tour coming your way?

Maybe just take off the lower weather strip so you can get the tailgate open/shut without having to use the GFC door? So much for weather protection but at least you could sort of get in/out... Mike should have a replacement weather strip with him when he makes the trip too... he had a good amount of maintenance stuff with him when he was here in Atlanta

Rear door hinge totally snapped off clean while closing it. No type of tape holding this in place, this is how I had to creep home so the door would not get damaged or break off on my way home. I have come up with a way to make a door out of plywood and attach and lock it.

i am sure you have been in touch with GFC but i think they have a 'service center' on the east coast -

also this may have some useful info for you
