IMG_5330.jpg I have an appt this morning. We'll see how this goes. I even checked it before I left on a 1,800 mile trip. Half the trip was hauling around 2k-2.5k in a very wide trailer. keep it I'll be in a bind. I need a truck an I need a double cab for my granddaughter! So far I really do love this truck!

Is that nut to the left of the seeping loose? Or just a shorter stud or thicker mounting point?

All the others around it appear to be tightened further.

    Edit: Never mind.

I looked at the other weeping differential pics and they all have the same shorter threads in that location.

Ya I noticed that as well. I never checked the torque. I'll let them snap things!

What's factory torque supposed to be on these? The 2nd from the left does look odd.

Good idea. I wouldn't take these kinds of repairs into my own hands. If you fuck it up, Toyota can deny warranty and you could be out thousands. Make em' fix it!

Well good news. I was done with recall an 10k service ck in just under 1 1/2 hours. They said the stain on my axle wasn't from the differential. As they say they measured the fluid an it was correct amount. With what's on my picture I kinda disagree with that but nuts are retorqued and everything documented. Plus I have extended warranty so I'm good with the recall. And I'm still a very happy Tacoma owner that has no leaks seeps weeps groans wobbles or anything but good driving at 10,308. Hoping to make it to 300,000
P.S. that bottom bolt is same as it was before! Haven't looked at any other diff' story see if it's normal
