Nope first I have heard that excuse. Maybe if it was a 35 or 40 I might understand.

See that's the thing, I thought it didnt include an oil change but now it seems my dealership is giving me one, on the confirmation page there is a summary of items due one of which is 5k synthetic service... idk what else that can be?

I usually limit the amount of people poking and prodding around under my hood to me and then the necessities. Only about 2k miles on the new oil, and I dont need to take it in, but I'm also worried about potential warrenty issues down the line, plus free oil is still hard to pass up even if I dont need it.

Idk what do you guys think? Do you trust your dealership? Are the cookies and doughnuts that good? I dont want to waste half my day for poor service and bad doughnuts

There is probably "fine print" somewhere in there as ToyotaCare is only going to cover 2 oil changes for free.

I put on Method wheels and some 285’s. They said they would rotate them but wouldn’t balance them for free if there was and shaking afterward due to balance issues. Fair enough, they aren’t OE parts and that’s what Discount tire is for.

My local dealer will also do you the favor of inflating your tires to 40+ psi

Pretty much.... nothing. They're going to check fluids and do a visual. That's about it. Perhaps top off and air tires.

From what I understand they only check the oil and top it off if it needs it at 5k... which it shouldn’t because it is a brand new truck lol

My dealership "inspected floormats" and put 45psi in each of my tires at 5k miles. Useless.

Mine likes to keep you guessing.

35-45 psi in a random spread across the four tires.

You can expect them to rotate and over inflate the tires and not reset the maintenance reminder. At least that is what they did to mine.

Actually just got off the phone with the service guy and he confirmed they do not do an oil change at 5k, I promptly cancelled that appointment. :pccoffee:

I am having second thoughts about my floormat though.
