honestly what he just posted seems like the best fit for you, but ditch the add a leaf that comes with the kit and get a hole new leaf pack and it will make a world of difference

he could ditch the billet UCA's too... TC or burg will work the same and they are less $$$ cause they're not fancy billet, but aren't heimed either.

and yeah, instead of the AAL and rear shocks he should get the defined SUA kit and the new 2.5" icon rear bolt on shocks.

that set up would kill. gusset a few small things and BOOM!

    a DD/weekend warrior that works.

but well said! OP i would look at tha Allpro kit if i was you. U said "mild" offroading and from what people have said who have this kit it is very capable for doing highesh speed runs and also very good for trail riding. You should also save a few grand and a lot of work!

only issue with that is matt has a use for his truck where he lives. if you just have graded fire roads and some sand pits it doesnt make sense to waste 12k into a truck that will never be used the way its built for. honestly just got with the kit attached above and save yourself some coin. you want a desert truck, take that saved money, and invest it into a house somewhere that has more accessible deserts first... then same more money and build a desert truck.

And like I said I was going with the mild travel set up. There not a graded fire road. One is a sand pit where ride the wheelers other is a stone pit and the old railroad bed

glad you have taken the advice given. all too often you see people come on here asking for advice, then they get pissed and ignore the advice that is given by people far more experienced then they are, all because they cant admit they were wrong or that someone else actually knows more about a specific topic (I.E. trucks). Glad you made it to TW and hope that you read around and gain some knowledge. we all started somewhere low on that totem pole....

very wise. there are many custom things that you can do to that truck to get it where it is a dependable dd/ weekend toy and also make it look clean. a simple bed cage is nothing more than a hundred or so dollars plus cost of case of beer, and you will learn a lot about fabrication with tube. you would be surprised how much is learned by just dicking around with the little builds. go with mid travel, some normal glass (read: you dont need 12" bulge glass for +2 per side), a nice custom bolt in bedcage if you choose (easy to make and can be removed if you ever want to change it up) and call it good.

Yes and ill listen to what people have to say. Yeah im just going with simple glass fenders. Now will I have to do bed cage for a mild set up. I like to be able to go out and get dirty. Just want to have fun and not always be breaking things. Once again thanks for all you input Guys

look into the new Icon 2.5" shocks. these things are tits and 100% bolt on. you'll have to drill a small hole in the frame to mount the resi bracket, but that's all. pair these with the defined eng. LT kit and you'll have a great rear end set up that does not require the use of a cage
