I meant the whole set up. Bad choice of words. But my UCA's helped with the overall geometry of my set up

Yeah you need to drop that to the bottom clip before you blow up the shock.

What is it doing to the shock? I thought all it is doing is compressing the spring more and therefore the ride isn't as nice. I've seen plenty of guys who have raised there back end to 3" with an Atlas spring pack and they have the same set up as me and they had it in the stock setting before they replaced the leaf spring pack and to make up the difference in the front they put the shock on the 2nd setting. I have it like this since I installed it about two years ago

The shock is riding around at full extension or close to it. Every time you hit a decent bump or pothole, its yanking the shock out to full extension and slamming the piston into the internal bumpstop.

For me, its all about the axle angle. If your axles are horizontal at ride height, you get the benefit of the full range of flex and also roughly equal amounts of compression and extension from the shock. The further away you get from horizontal, the more stress you put on the suspension components. You bust axles and tear boots because the axle angle is too high.

How high is too high? You'll hear a lot of debate about that. But if you really are +4" over stock ride height, your axle angles will be horrible and you will have very little suspension down travel.

Did you see his pic? It looks like two ribs of his boot touch at ride height, you can see wear marks on them too. Im super surprised they haven't ripped yet, or something else... since he's an '04 I'm sure the truck has add so them things are always spinning too! That is a lot of lift. But it's worked for him so far, so....

Sicyota....along with not having much if any down travel you surly don't have a whole lot of up travel either with everything so preloaded running those eibachs on the second setting of a 5100..
