    Only 29,000 miles.

Its what I can afford and by far the best deal i have seen in the PNW recently.

anything I need to know about the 2.4L?

It's gonna be slow. But holy smokes only 29,000? Are you sure it's not 129,000?

    I'd check for frame rust.

Ya definitely gonna check for rust but I doubt it, it was in the Portland, OR area.

Carfax is clean, 2 owner, first was a corporate owner, and then a private one for about three years.

Ill live with the slow for this mileage. I am old and boring anyway :)

Is it a good motor overall?

How much? Miles that low are seldom worth the extra $$ people ask for them.

10k - I am going to try and talk him down 500 to a 1000m that's close to the going rate in the PNW with usually a lot more miles

Great find but don't put any faith in a carfax report. So many bogus, and fraudulent reports out there. Bring it somewhere and really have it looked over.

For $10k you definitely have a few options. Those low miles are incredibly rare and that is a very good price. Truck is likely worth a lot more to a select few so if you're looking to sell down the road and have time to sit on it you'll probably end up making money.

In Colorado, where 4x4 is the golden ticket, you could spend that same coin on a 3.4L, 4x4, TRD, with under 150k miles just for reference.

10k? No way I'd spend that much on the base model. But maybe it's worth it to you.

For reference, I got my 3.4L 4x4 TRD ext. cab new frame and extra goodies (expensive bed cover, pop n lock, wheels/tires, etc. ) with 100,000 for 9k. And I could've talked him down but the seller was really flakey. I just paid for it and left. Kinda regret it, cause I could've gone to 8k. Oh well.

Damn 10K, I bought a brand new 2.4L 5 speed in 2004 for under 12K out the door. Hard to come by one with that low of miles but 10K seems a bit high.

    10k for a 2wd? That's a decent buy for a 4wd here.

    I just got my 2004 sr5 4x4 with 103k miles for $6200

My daughter has an '04 2wd 2.4L automatic. It's a great little truck, and does exactly what she needs it to do. It gets her from point A to point B, and hauls stuff if she needs to. She loves it.

Took it to a mechanic and it checked out.

Frame was immaculate, seriously, no rust at all. After living most of my life in the Midwest, I was amazed.

Talked him down to 9500 and drove it home. :)

It will do what I need it to do. With two kids still in college I needed a vehicle that will be dependable and last a long time.

Are you sure that's a 2002? Do the base models come with the older cluster? My 99 has a digital ODO.

The base models come like his. Yours is older yes, but it's a TRD which means a little different interior setup. My old 98 TRD had a digital ODO too.

What's up with the white steering column? Was this a fleet model or something?

Edit: haha I posted and then realized it's prob a reflection.

Manufactured 12/01, so ya I guess the base models got the old fashioned analog cluster.
